Double-Barrelled Taproom

If you are heading to Double Barrelled on Saturday, note the times below – the taproom is hosting part of  Reading Comedy Festival, and tickets are required from 6 pm – 9:30 pm. But not before or after, so even if you don’t have tickets you can get along there.

Elusive Taproom

As part of their ongoing birthday celebrations, Elusive have released Nine Mile Ride, a 6% West Coast IPA brewed in collaboration with neighbours Siren. You can book a seat at the taproom if you are going along to try it by calling 0118 9732153 or emailing beer@elusivebrewing.com. Or buy it online with a 7% discount with the code SEVEN4SEVEN.

If you are a home brewer, Elusive have also launched their 7th birthday home brewing competition. There’s a £500 prize to be won, but more importantly, the chance to brew a beer in collaboration with the folks at Elusive.

Loddon Beer and Beards festival is on Saturday, with a pre-party on Friday with a fire eater! If you want to book a table at Loddon, you can book here if you want to be sure of getting a seat, but in general it’s not needed.

Saturday: 11 am-11 pm. – Opies Beard and Moustache Championship. Tickets are £6.50 with all profits going to local charity Daisy’s Dream.

Siren have launched a few new beers this week – Doing Science, a 6.5% IPA in collaboration with Track Brewing Co., and Ricochet, a 5.7% West Coast Pilsner, If you want to book a table at Siren, contact them here.

The Haunt at Phantom

This week Phantom are donating 10% of their profits to Autism Berkshire, so get down there and know that supporting them is helping to support others too. Plus new beer launches – You Do The Math, a fruity IPA, and Half-Pipe to Hell, an IPA brewed with Nelson, Riwaka & Mega Motueka – a brand new hop blend with Phantasm which they’re first in the UK to use!

Park House Local Drinks Festival
